國際視野 | 2020年世界標(biāo)準(zhǔn)日：標(biāo)準(zhǔn)保護(hù)地球

    世界標(biāo)準(zhǔn)日(World Standards Day)，是國際標(biāo)準(zhǔn)化組織(ISO)成立紀(jì)念日。10月14日這一天被選定為世界標(biāo)準(zhǔn)日。世界標(biāo)準(zhǔn)日的目的是提高對國際標(biāo)準(zhǔn)化在世界經(jīng)濟(jì)活動(dòng)中重要性的認(rèn)識(shí)，以促進(jìn)國際標(biāo)準(zhǔn)化工作適應(yīng)世界范圍內(nèi)的商業(yè)、工業(yè)、政府和消費(fèi)者的需要。這個(gè)國際節(jié)日是獻(xiàn)給全世界成千上萬從事標(biāo)準(zhǔn)化工作的志愿者的禮物。

    2020年10月14日是第51屆世界標(biāo)準(zhǔn)日。為了彰顯標(biāo)準(zhǔn)在資源保護(hù)、綠色發(fā)展方面的重要意義，國際標(biāo)準(zhǔn)化組織（ISO）、國際電工委員會(huì)（IEC）、國際電信聯(lián)盟（ITU）將今年世界標(biāo)準(zhǔn)日的主題確定為“標(biāo)準(zhǔn)保護(hù)地球(Protecting theplanetwith standards)”,并聯(lián)合發(fā)布了2020年世界標(biāo)準(zhǔn)日祝詞。

    地球是浩瀚太陽系中為數(shù)不多的生命之舟，地球上的所有生命都依賴于太陽的能量。然而，在過去的一個(gè)世紀(jì)里，現(xiàn)代文明活動(dòng)中人類和大規(guī)模的工業(yè)活動(dòng)使得地球的溫室氣體不斷增多，給全球氣候和人類生活帶來了負(fù)面影響。與此同時(shí)，隨著人口的快速增長和城市化的不斷擴(kuò)張，地球上的有限資源應(yīng)被負(fù)責(zé)任地使用。

    為減少人類對地球的影響，我們需要強(qiáng)有力的政治意愿，采取具體行動(dòng)并使用正確的方法。國際標(biāo)準(zhǔn)就是其中的正確方法。由國際電工委員會(huì)（IEC）、國際標(biāo)準(zhǔn)化組織（ISO）和國際電信聯(lián)盟（ITU）制定的國際標(biāo)準(zhǔn)，為應(yīng)對技術(shù)挑戰(zhàn)提供了切實(shí)可靠的解決方案，有助于在發(fā)達(dá)國家和發(fā)展中國家廣泛分享專業(yè)技能和知識(shí)。標(biāo)準(zhǔn)覆蓋了節(jié)能、水資源和空氣質(zhì)量等方方面面，提供了標(biāo)準(zhǔn)化的規(guī)制和測量方法。標(biāo)準(zhǔn)的廣泛使用有助于減少工業(yè)生產(chǎn)和過程對環(huán)境的影響，促進(jìn)有限資源的再利用，提高能源效率。

    Earth, a finite vessel oflife in the vastness of our solar system.Life on earth depends on energy comingfrom the sun. However, over the lastcentury human and large-scale industrialactivities of our modern civilizationhave added to the earth’s natural greenhouse gases.They negatively impact ourclimate and with it all forms of life. At the sametime rapid population growthand broad urbanization call for the responsible useof limited resources.

    To reduce human impact onour planet, we need the political will,concrete action and the right tools.International standards are one such tool.The international standards preparedby IEC, ISO and ITU take into accounttried and true solutions to technical challenges. They help share expertise and expert know-howbroadly withindeveloped and developing countries alike. Standards cover allaspects of energysavings, water and air quality. They lay down standardizedprotocols andmethods of measurement. Their broad use helps reduce theenvironmental impactof industrial production and processes, facilitates thereuse of limitedresources and improves energy efficiency.

    世界標(biāo)準(zhǔn)日的慶祝始于1970年10月14日，如今已經(jīng)是第51屆。從第17屆起，世界標(biāo)準(zhǔn)日祝詞開始賦予了主題，以突出當(dāng)年世界標(biāo)準(zhǔn)日的宣傳重點(diǎn)。
